Community Outreach

On a wonderful Sabbath afternoon, the First SDA Church of Loxahatchee Groves went out into the community to serve those at Currie Park in West Palm Beach. Currie Park is located in Downtown West Palm Beach and has been a home to those who are considered to be homeless.

The outreach was put on by the community service leader Sister Gloria Salmon and her team. It was such a delight to see the members of the Loxahatchee Groves SDA Church come out in their bright orange shirts to help serve.

Here you can see members of the Health Ministry team (under the leadership of Sister Inez Moran) checking the blood pressure and vitals of those in need.

The personal ministries team (under the leadership of Elder Arnold Booker) ensured that everyone there would leave with a Word from God; with these lovely pocketbooks that they could read.

The food that was prepared by the members of Loxahatchee Groves, was truly delicious and those who attended really appreciated it.

The outreach was a time to go out, fellowship, and spread the Word of God to those who may have been "down on their luck” and in need of some extra words of encouragement.

Mark 16:15 ESV / 122  says  “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”

What good are we, if we do not go out into the world and let the people know the goodness of God!
